Pollination Capital was born from Intellifin, a financial consulting business established in 2003 by corporate finance expert and chartered accountant Johann de Lange. The M&A transaction advisory portion of the business was transferred to a separate company – Pollination Capital – in 2013.
Intellifin initially focused on consulting services within the corporate finance sector but has expanded to include corporate tax services, which is now its main focus. These tax services are now offered by Intellifin Corporate Tax Consulting. Intellifin’s client base consists of several multi-billion rand companies.
In ten years of operation, Intellifin has grown in expertise and stature, also consulting on various additional corporate actions, for example, acquisitions, disposals, leverage buy-outs, management buy-outs, management buy-ins and corporate restructuring.
Intellifin has provided consulting services for the entire transaction cycle: transaction facilitation, due diligence, valuations, transaction structuring, etc. From 2012 Intellifin increasingly played a role as transaction advisor for mergers and acquisitions on a turnkey basis. This service is now the particular focus of Pollination Capital.
2016 marked a new era for Pollination Capital, as it started operating as an association between different independent transaction advisors. The carefully selected transaction advisors collaborate under Pollination Capital as a common brand to bring additional capacity and networks together, allowing it to offer a larger team, more technical skills and larger networks for the benefit of clients.
